Obituary

Obituary for Raymond L. Grill

Raymond L. Grill, passed away peacefully Friday, September 19, at Arbor Hospice Residence at the age of 92. Born June 13, 1927 in Ann Arbor, son of Olive and Warren Baker. He was later adopted by Howard Grill. Raymond proudly served in the Army/Air Force from 1945 to 1947. He married Caroline A. Beal September 27, 1948. He worked at the University of Michigan North Campus as a supervisor in the Housing Department. He loved fishing and deer hunting with friends and was a mall walker at Briarwood for several years. Raymond was preceded in passing by his wife Caroline and son Wayne. Survived by his daughter, Carol (Donald) Lalonde; grandchildren, Kelly Bailey, Marcy (Troy) McCrate, Eric (Abigail) Grill, Veronica (Andrew) Flynn; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Interment with Military Honors will be at Bethlehem Cemetery immediately follow the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Nie Family Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108 from 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be at 11AM Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the funeral home where visitation will also be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice Residence (440 W. Russell St, Saline, MI 48176).
