He was born on May 22, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan of parents Eugene Medvec (Satellite Beach, FL) and Lorraine Medvec (deceased). Michael grew up in Detroit and moved with his parents to Livonia, MI graduating from Stevenson High School in 1973. Michael attended the University of Michigan College of Engineering where he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
