He graduated from Hale County High School and attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after which he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country until 1965. On March 28, 1967, he married the love of his life, Asie Hayes and together they raised 10 children. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him lovingly as “Hayes”. John accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Messiah’s Temple Church until his death. He was preceded in death by his: fathers, Fred Elliott and Jimmy Hayes; mother, Willie Mae Elliott; his siblings, Annie Mae Elliott and Freddie Lee Elliott. The family of John W.
