Obituary

Obituary for Jane L. Soltau

Jane Laura Soltau (Treiber) passed peacefully in her sleep at her home surrounded by her husband and daughters on July 25, 2019. Jane was born on June 13, 1943 to Frank and Irene Treiber of Indiana. She married James Soltau in 1968. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tommy, and her daughter Laura. She is survived by her husband Jim, her sisters Patricia and Mary Ann and her daughters Christine Ballard (Dave), Diane Roberts (Daniel), Karen Booker (Christopher). She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandkids. She was also a great grandmother to 3 great grandchildren, with one more on the way. Those who knew her family considered her to be a mother and grandmother to them as well. Jane was sweet, loving, kind, and very giving. She had an inside joke with all that were close to her. As her family says, she was a Cutie Patootie. She loved to travel and be with her family. All of those who knew Jane knew how infectious her love was. Jane will be dearly missed by all that knew her but, her family is at peace knowing that she is no longer in pain. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers you consider donating to the Arthritis Foundation, as her biggest life battle was against rheumatoid arthritis.
