Obituary for Ching-Hua Chen

(蔡菁華) Ching was born on March 22, 1940 in Tainan, Taiwan and passed away at the age of 79 on August 11, 2019 in Saline, Michigan.

She married (陳良雄) Nelson Liang Chen in June 25, 1967 in Taipei, Taiwan. After immigrating to the United States in the 1970's, the family eventually settled in Ann Arbor in 1984, and moved to Saline in 1993.

Ching was a devoted wife and mother and was always eager to volunteer to help her friends and community. She enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and attending cultural events. She dedicated her life to generosity, kindness, and service. Ching always made sure everyone was well-fed, as she enjoyed cooking and serving a variety of food for her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Nelson Liang Chen; her son, (陳明學) Franklin (Abigail Plant Chen) Chen; her daughter, Linda (André Kurmann) Chen; her grandson Jack Chen-Kurmann; and her sister, Soo-kin Hsu (蔡素琴).
